FXB New Hope's Top Ten Tips to a Thinner Thanksgiving!

  1. Make Thursday your Fun Day....(but don't go totally crazy...you pay for it on Friday!!)
  2. Bring healthy appetizers, like fruit & veggies to munch on before the big meal.
  3. Out of sight out of mind! Don't bring home any left overs, or send them all home with others!
  4. Track what you eat, even if it isn't pretty. It helps you stay more accountable if you know exactly how much you ate...
  5. Chew gum.  This week their will be temptations at work & EVERYWHERE...an active, busy mouth is less likely to succumb to the temptations.
  6. Mentally prepare yourself of the choices you will make at the big meal, decide ahead of time what is absolutely worth having and what you are okay with skipping.
  7. EAT BREAKFAST - the temptation is to skip a meal to indulge at the big meal...get your protein in to take the edge off!
  8. Pay attention to your portions - try to just take a taste of everything...play a game with yourself and when dishing up your food, don't let any of the food touch on the plate, its amazing how that will affect your portions.
  9. Skip the seconds...TRY to resist the temptation to go back for more!
  10. Eat SLOWLY, put your fork down in between your bites!!

Biggest surprise about FXB: That I have worked out 6 days a week for the better part of 2 years.  Also I began running recently and I am amazed at how much easier running is as a result of FXB!
Favorite FXB Food: homemade peanut butter & banana protein bars! mmm...mmm...mmm
My Favorite Fun Day Food: Coldstone Ice Cream...with peanut butter...they use your spoon to get the peanut butter and then you get the spoon with the leftovers on it....YUMMY!!!
Bags or Bands?: Bands...not that I don't love hitting/kicking the bag, but bands are what have given me glorious beautiful muscles!
How has FXB changed/affected your life?: Farrell's has provided me the opportunity to have the best job in the world, and to work with the most amazing ownership team I could ever imagine! But not only is Farrell's my job, it has given me so much more. As someone who was overweight the better part of my life, I still struggle EVERYDAY to eat well. But being a part of FXB has made it easier than it has ever been to face that struggle day in and day out. The light in my dark ally’s of my brain continues to grow brighter all the time. The more people I watch transform, the brighter it shines. Today, I can’t say I’m never hard on myself, but I can say that the scars from years past have healed and I see beauty and strength in myself that I never could imagined…Farrell’s is the roots that everything in my life grows from.

Farrell’s Boosted My Self-Confidence!

I can't wait to wake up the next morning and see everyone. I have been a Farrell's Ashworth member for three years now and have lost several inches, but the biggest change I notice is my energy. I have an active job and I no longer feel winded during my daily tasks and that is the biggest result I wasn't expecting to see or notice.
